5-star Destrehan RB John Emery Jr. commits to LSU

Ed Orgeron and the Tigers got the best news possible on a Tuesday night.
Five-star running back John Emery from Destrehan (La.) announced that he has committed to LSU. Emery Jr. is rated the No. 1 running back in the nation, per the ESPN300 and the No. 2 running back in the nation, per 247Sports. He decommitted from Georgia after his visit to Baton Rouge on October 13th.
“Proud to say I’m staying home,” said Emery in his commitment tweet.
Emery Jr. makes it 20 total commitments for the class of 2019 and becomes the second running back in the class alongside talented four-star prospect Tyrion Davis from Baton Rouge.
