LSU’s top defender in 2017 will return to the team on Monday, per Ed Orgeron.

Key took a leave of absence from football during spring for “personal reasons,” however, never disclosed the reason for his departure. Key, the presumable top-5 draft pick in 2018, will return to the football team after undergoing a new shoulder surgery, the school announced on Sunday night.

“Arden had shoulder surgery and everything went as planned. We are looking forward to having him rejoin the team tomorrow,” said Orgeron in a statement.

Key earned first team all-SEC honors last season and set the LSU single-season record for sacks with 12.
