Paul Mainieri and LSU are in quite the slump on the baseball field right now.
The Tigers’ hitting struggles continued vs A&M, dropping a crucial series 2-1 on Saturday. LSU pitcher Eric Walker posted seven solid innings, however, LSU’s bats still failed to emerge late in the contest. On a positive note, Jared Poche proved to be the Tigers’ ace yet again in Game 2, throwing seven innings and allowing only 2 runs in another dominating outing.
With the loss Saturday afternoon, LSU fell to 19-10 on the season and will take on Grambling at home on Tuesday.
