FINAL: LSU 65, Alabama 80.
Another tough pill to swallow for Will Wade and the Tigers on Tuesday night in Tuscaloosa. LSU was led by junior shooting guard Daryl Edwards, who posted 21 points and 3 rebounds.
The Tigers came out of the half with the hot hand. Will Wade’s squad cut the Crimson Tide lead down to 1-point with 17:40 remaining, but senior forward Duop Reath missed a dunk attempt to take the lead.
Reath’s missed dunk completely changed the momentum of the game from that point forward. The Tigers looked lost on offense and had no answer for Alabama guard John Petty down the stretch. The Tide were also led by forward Donta Hall, who netted 20 points.
LSU drops to 14-11 overall and 5-8 in SEC play. The Tigers will return home for two home games, starting on Saturday vs. Missouri.
