BATON ROUGE, La. — LSU (37-24) officially heard their name called this morning during the 2019 NCAA Baseball selection show. The Tigers also found out the three other teams who will be traveling to Baton Rouge for this weekend’s regional.
The Baton Rouge Regional includes:
No. 1 LSU
No. 2 Arizona State
No. 3 Southern Miss
No. 4 Stony Brook
Interestingly enough, Stony Brook beat LSU in the 2012 Super Regionals in Baton Rouge, a moment many Tiger fans want to forget.
When meeting with the media, Paul Mainieri said he doubts Jaden Hill will be ready for the regional, but is optimistic about Brandt Broussard and Trent Vietmeier. The Tigers will face No. 4 seed Stony Brook on Friday at 6 p.m. CT on ESPNU.
