We were at T.J. Ribs on Wednesday and Ed Orgeron dropped some good news regarding offensive lineman Garrett Brumfield.

Brumfield, who left the Louisiana Tech game with a leg injury, has not returned since. At an event on Tuesday morning, Orgeron told the media Brumfield was “doubtful” to play against Alabama.

Tonight, however, Orgeron said he’s been surprised with the progressions he’s seen in practice this week. “Surprisingly, Garrett [Brumfield] has practiced the last couple of days. I think he may be ready,” said O at his weekly radio show.

Time will tell, but that could give the Tigers offensive line a big boost against a stout defensive front.
