LSU safety Jamal Adams announced at Friday’s presser he’s forgoing his senior season to enter the draft.

Adams, the junior from Lewisville, Texas has proved to be LSU’s leader on defense for the last two seasons and is a projected top 15 pick per Mel Kiper. Adams recorded six total tackles in LSU’s dominating victory over Louisville in the Citrus Bowl.

“After deep prayer and consideration my family and I have agreed that I will prepare for the NFL Draft,” says “Adams. Ed Oregon opened up the presser by noting, “We not only feel that Jamal will be an excellent NFL player but has All-pro capabilities.”

The presser came with a pleasant twist, as well, as former LSU head coach Les Miles was in the building to support Jamal Adams. “I would like to thank coach Miles for allowing me to come to LSU and be a Tiger,” said Adams. Jamal Adams’ father was the one to invite Les Miles.
