LSU defeated Southeastern 31-0, but a few key players on both sides of the ball didn’t see the field.

We don’t know why, but Michael Divinity, Saahdiq Charles, Jontre Kirklin, Tory Carter and Ed Alexander were the key absentees from Saturday’s home opener.

“There will be guys that miss games. I’m not going to announce it,” Orgeron said postgame. “Those things are handled internally.”

It’s believed to be a one-game suspension for those players.

The offensive line dearly missed left tackle Saahdiq Charles as the line struggled to protect Joe Burrow throughout the game. They were also missing Adrian Magee, who left the Miami game in the first quarter with a leg injury. Orgeron said he expects to see Charles back on Saturday against Auburn.

More information into each situation will come when they’re released.
