Senior running back Lanard Fournette is leaving the LSU football team, first reported by Ed Aschoff of ESPN.com this afternoon. Lanard, the brother of former Tiger and current Jacksonville Jaguar RB Leonard Fournette, ran for 36 yards and a touchdown in four games in 2019.
It appears Fournette’s departure is not discipline related, but rather for him to explore other opportunities. He’s already graduated from LSU and is clearly ready to move on to another school.
Keep it here as we gather more information.
