LSU athletic director Joe Alleva is expected to step down as early as today, according to a new article published this morning from the Baton Rouge Business Report.
On the heels of many questionable decisions from the LSU administration, this report will not seem surprising to many, but the timing may. Bruce Feldman with The Athletic has since confirmed the reports that LSU is now searching for a new athletic director.
“While details of Alleva’s expected departure remain murky, sources say a deal is in the works to replace him with a nationally recognized leader in university athletics.”
More on this to come. LSU has declined to speak on the matter at this time.
