The LSU basketball team suffered another heartbreaking loss late, this time to Southern California at the Staples Center in Los Angeles.

The Tigers were led by Skylar Mays and Trendon Watford, who posted 21 points and 17 points respectively. Will Wade’s squad led for most of the game, but LSU’s offense collapsed to allow the Trojans to regain the lead in the final minutes.

LSU falls to 7-4 overall and will return to action on Sunday at 12:30 p.m. CT. against Liberty. The Tigers will begin SEC play on Jan. 4 in Knoxville vs. No. 21 Tennessee.
