3/1: LSU will have the nation’s best (ten) participants in this years combine.
Leonard Fournette checked into Day 1 of the NFL Combine today, weighing in at a modest 240 pounds. In history, there have been twenty-four running backs selected in the first round since 2006, however, none of which were heavier than 235, a source told the SEC Network. Malachi Dupre and Travin Dural are set to arrive tomorrow.
LSU’s ten participants will be: Leonard Fournette, Jamal Adams, Duke Riley, Tre’Davious White, Ethan Pocic, Kendell Beckwith, Tashawn Bower, Malachi Dupre, Travin Dural and Davon Godchaux.
More: LSU announced today that they will hold their Pro Day on April 5th in the Indoor Practice Facility.
UPDATED: Former LSU running back Leonard Fournette ran a 4.51/4.52 in his two attempts at the 40-yard dash. That time marks the fastest by any player over 240lbs since 2003.
OL Ethan Pocic had a fine day as well, running a 5.12 in his first attempt in the 40, which is quite an impressive time for the 307 pound linemen. Wide receiver Malachi Dupre ran a 4.52 in the 40 and posted a 39.5 vertical jump.
