Target acquired. Target secured.

Per his credible sources, Billy Liucci of TexAgs.com is now reporting that Scott Woodward has signed to become LSU’s next athletic director. It’s a done deal.

Woodward is a Baton Rouge native and an LSU graduate in the Class of 1985.

While at Texas A&M, Woodward has been praised for landing Jimbo Fisher and Buzz Williams and has made the Aggies into a national contender, it seems, in football.

This is without question a phenomenal hire for LSU athletics. This morning, the Baton Rouge Business Report released that Joe Alleva would be stepping down as early as today and Woodward was the rumored replacement the second it surfaced.

It only took a half-a-day for this to come to fruition.

The ducks were clearly in a row for LSU and the higher ups making this hire.
