It’s truly “Next Man Up” for LSU’s secondary vs. UCF.

Without their top three corners, Ed Orgeron has announced Kary Vincent Jr. and Terrance Alexander as the two starters for the Fiesta Bowl on New Year’s Day.

Vincent Jr. is a junior and Alexander is a grad-transfer (senior) who have played significant roles this season behind Greedy Williams and Kristian Fulton. LSU cornerbacks coach Corey Raymond is the best in the business, but I can’t imagine he’s ever had to deal with such a lack of depth at his position.

Kelvin Joseph did not make the trip due to a violation of team rules.

The Tigers will also be thin at defensive line without Ed Alexander, but Orgeron says Tyler Shelvin and Glen Logan both had good bowl practices this month.

We will see how everything goes, but let’s expect anything at this point.
