FINAL: LSU 77, Mississippi State 80.

It was a tale of two halves Thursday night for Will Wade and the Tigers. At halftime, LSU trailed Mississippi State, 45-29, shooting a low percentage from the floor and showing little effort on defense.

In the second; however, Will Wade sparked a comeback in the Tigers, led by freshman stud Tremont Waters, who would finish the contest with a team-high 28 points and 6 assists. Freshman Brandon Rachal also performed very well, scoring 10 points with 9 rebounds.

The Tigers are now eliminated in the second round of the SEC Tournament; however, will now await their postseason birth, which will likely be the NIT. LSU falls to an overall record of 17-14.

Quotes from head coach Will Wade to come shortly.
