The NCAA has denied LSU cornerback Kristian Fulton‘s appeal to overturn his two-year suspension for failing a drug test before the 2017 season.

LSU head coach Ed Orgeron released a statement on the matter:

“Of course, I am very disappointed by this decision. He’s done what we’ve asked him to do and I believe the appeal was a good one. He’s going to keep working and we’re going to stick by him.”

Fulton’s family attorney Don Jackson says they will “pursue a waiver” and continue to push for Fulton to return to the football field this fall.
