FINAL: LSU 64, Florida 73.
Despite leading 33-31 at halftime, LSU dropped their 4th straight away game last night in Gainesville to the Gators. The Tigers were led by Brandon Sampson, who scored 17 points with 2 rebounds.
Clearly still a year away from national relevance, LSU showed more positives last night in a road environment than negatives. The Tigers fought their way back after a big Florida run to start the second half. With two minutes remaining, Florida pulled ahead and put it away.
Freshman standout Tremont Waters had another shaky performance, committing 7 of the team’s 16 turnovers and scoring just 9 points.
Waters was also just 1/9 from behind the arc.
Next: LSU will host the Ole Miss Rebels at the Maravich Center on Saturday afternoon. The game is scheduled to tip at 3 p.m. on the SEC Network. For more on LSU Basketball, follow us on Twitter @InsideLSU/@HValentineLSU.
