More good news for LSU’s 2019 chances.

Junior defensive end Rashard Lawrence announced on Twitter Friday night that he will return for his senior season. Lawrence is LSU’s premier defensive linemen and is coming off a dominant performance in the Fiesta Bowl with 5 tackles and 2 sacks. Through his three seasons in Baton Rouge, Lawrence has recorded 92 tackles, 14.5 tackles for loss and 6.5 sacks.

Lawrence joins Breidon Fehoko and Michael Divinity as key players who will return to the LSU defense in 2019. The Tigers will now await decisions from linebacker Devin White and cornerback Kristian Fulton.

The deadline to declare for the draft is Monday, Jan. 14. Even with the departure of Devin White, things are looking very positive for the 2019 season.
