Texas Tech’s top WR Jonathan Giles has announced he will transfer to LSU.
Giles will have to sit out in 2017, however, will have two years of eligibility remaining in Baton Rouge. Giles recorded 1,158 yards, 69 receptions and 12 TDs last season for the Red Raiders, becoming Kliff Kingsbury’s most productive receiver. In his announcement via Twitter, Giles comments: “I have decided to further my education and athletics at Louisiana State University.”
This is the second transfer Ed Orgeron has landed from Texas Tech this offseason, following DT Breiden Fehoko, who announced his commitment to LSU in April. Giles chose LSU over Ohio State, Oregon, Georgia and various other schools.
