You saw him at SEC Media Days and now he’s wearing No. 18.

It’s been a good few weeks for the kid from New Orleans.

It was just announced that LSU senior tight end Foster Moreau has earned the honor of wearing the coveted number. “Earned” is the best word to describe Moreau’s tenure and quest to the number. Coming into Baton Rouge not as highly recruited as the rest, choosing between LSU and Tulane as the final signee of the 2015 class, he’s truly earned the praise he’s now receiving.

In 2018, Moreau will be one of the Tigers’ key downfield threats in the passing game. Last season, he snatched 15 receptions and 3 TDs from his roommate Danny Etling. This year he assumes a much bigger role in Ensminger’s offense.

It’s hard not to feel good for someone who represented LSU in such a positive way in Atlanta for media days. Now, he will follow in the footsteps of greats like Jacob Hester, Tre’Davious White, Christian LaCouture and others.

Introducing the next Number 18: Foster Moreau.
