It’s been a quiet offseason, but that’s the way we like it.
With the low-key, low-news feel this offseason has brought, that means we’re talking more and more about recruiting. Fresh off the commitment of the nation’s No. 1 cornerback Derek Stingley Jr., Ed Orgeron and staff will regroup and host some of the biggest names in America for the Elite Camp on campus.
Key targets like the No. 1 inside-linebacker Nakobe Dean, elite running backs John Emery Jr. and Noah Cain, Amite receiver Devonta Lee and in-state cornerbacker Devin Bush highlight some of the visitors this weekend.
The 2019 class has the potential to change the direction of this program for the better. With a talent-rich Louisiana 2019 class, Orgeron will work hard on keeping them home and solidifying his “fence the state” mentality.
Keep it here for updates throughout the weekend in Baton Rouge.
