LSU falls to 1-1 after Wednesday’s loss to VCU at the Stuart C. Siegel Center in Richmond. The Tigers were ultimately haunted by 26 turnovers and 25 fouls, but seemingly stuck around late in the game with a chance to win.
Senior guard Skylar Mays led the Tigers with 23 points and eight rebounds. Four LSU scorers finished in double figures: Javonte Smart posted 15, Trendon Watford tallied 11 and Darius Days and Charles Manning each scored 10 of their own.
The funny part about this whole game was how VCU treated it like it was their Super Bowl. I’m honestly surprised they didn’t storm the court for beating Will Wade.
LSU returns to action at the PMAC at 3 p.m. CT on Saturday vs. Nicholls.
