Waters' last second layup lifts LSU over Missouri
FINAL: LSU 64, Missouri 63.
The Tigers extended their home winning streak to four games with today’s victory over a surging Missouri squad. After a 15-point beatdown in Tuscaloosa, Will Wade and the Tigers found their groove early from behind the arc. Freshman Tremont Waters scored 21 points with 4 assists and hit the game-winning shot with 19.8 left.
This is another type of win that will help LSU’s postseason résumé. Missouri entered today’s contest with an overall record of 18-8 and playing red hot as of late. Missouri was driven by senior Jordan Barnett, who netted 18 points and 5 rebounds in the losing effort.
